Welcome to Fight Kingdom 2025!

Fight Kingdom 2025 is being held at the Marriot Hotel at Redmond Town Center (also called "RTC") in Redmond, WA, from May 2nd-4th. Look at the event schedule to figure out exactly when your events are. We should also have a fun late night setup going in the hotel lobby, so if you're bored wander in there and say hi and/or get games in.

Travel to the Venue

The venue is:
Seattle Marriott Redmond
7401 164th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052

(425) 498-4000

If you are coming from out of state, the most likely landing place (and the closest to the venue) is Sea-Tac Airport in Tukwila, WA. That's about 24 miles away from the venue. Depending upon traffic, it will take around 35 minutes to get to the venue.

Bus / Light Rail: $8, ~1 hour

This is the cheapest option and will run about $8 and take about an hour. The easiest route, and one that avoids going through the extra traffic in Seattle is:
  1. Head to SeaTac Airport Terminal Bay 2
  2. Take the 560 bus to Bellevue
  3. Get off at the Bellevue Transit Center Bay 7
  4. Walk to Bellevue Transit Center Bay 10
  5. Take the 250 bus to Avondale Bear Creek Park & Ride.
The (Puget) SoundTransit Trip Planner will help you find the best route to get where you want to go. This will take about 90 minutes and cost about $8. The easiest route is taking the 1 line to Westlake Center. Then get to the 545 stop at 4th and Pike and take the 545 to Redmond.

Taxi: ~$75, ~40 minutes

Seattle Yellow Cab will get you there for about $75, and they have bigger vans too so you can split the fare further.

SeaTac Taxi costs about $82 (sedan, 3 passengers), $104 (SUV, 6 passengers), or $140 (van, 10 passengers).

SeaTac Airport Taxi has a flat rate service and will run about $70.

Uber/Lyft: ~$70, ~40 minutes

Uber or Lyft are going to run around $70 to get to the venue.

Shuttle: ~$30, ~1 hour

Eagle Shuttle Service will get you to Bellevue for $30. Then you can the B-Line light rail to Redmond, the bus, or taxi/Uber/Lyft. Premier Airport Shuttle will get you (and up to 3 other people) to Redmond Town Center for about $90.

Parking

If you're bringing your own car, be aware that the parking at Redmond Town Center proper is for mall customers. Don't park there. The best options are:
  1. Valet at the hotel. If you ask for the event rate it should be about $20 a night.
  2. The Painted Parking Lot (Redmond Center Connector Lot) is a couple blocks away and is about $10 per day (and free Sunday).
  3. The Redmond Transit Center is about a mile further away but is free.

Food

Most places in Redmond are going to run about $15 for an entree. Please remember not to bring outside food or alcohol into the venue: we have a lot of electronics in there. The lobby bar will be open late for us, and they ask that you keep alcohol in your room until after that bar closes (you're good after that to my understanding, but always good to check.)

The best way to get lots of food in bulk will be the H Mart two blocks away from the venue. They have a cafe in there too.

At Redmond Town Center

There's a Korean BBQ (K Street BBQ) stop directly next to the venue.

There's a Just Poke place a block further.

BJ's Brewhouse in RTC has got surprisingly good pizza. Everything else is solid. The pizookie desserts are fun.

FlatStick Pub has got a solid selection of beer and a bunch of golf-inspired games. Worth checking out once at least.

Thai Ginger on the second floor of the mall is really good. Their hot and sour soup is amazing.

Kizuki Ramen is in the middle of Redmond Town Center and has solid ramen. (The best PNW ramen in my book is Jinya's in Bellevue outside Crossroads Mall, but that is a drive.)

There's a Starbucks in the middle of Redmond Town Center that is open until 8.

The OPH (Original Pancake House) on the second floor is a favorite of mine for breakfast food. Typically they are slammed on Sundays so sign up earlier if you're going there Sunday.

Midnight Cookie Company has got good cookies and usually has a 2 for 1 happy hour from 12 - 3. It's open until midnight.

Longer walk (or quick drive) options around Redmond

There's a Costco about a mile away: their food is good and super cheap but they do check ID nowadays.

There's a McDonald's open until 2AM a couple blocks away.

If you want food later than that and can drive, California Mexican Food is open 24/7.

For coffee, here's a map of all the coffee places in Redmond. Victor's Celtic Coffee is a Redmond classic but closes at 3PM. SoulFood CoffeeHouse is open until 6PM and has a really chill hippy vibe.

The best (slightly fancy) Mexican in Redmond is probably at Matador a few blocks away. And it's open to 2AM on the weekends! El Toreador is right next to it and is also solid. El Rinconsito in Bellevue typically wins "Best of Mexican Food on the Eastside" contests if you can drive / want something delivered, and they're open until 3AM. (I can't stand this place, but people do love it.)

The best pizza in Redmond is at Spark Pizza in Redmond. (It's been nationally ranked a few times.) The pizza at Zeek's Pizza is not nearly as good.

Palmer's Bar and Grill is a standard bar with reasonably priced food. If you want a dive bar, hit up J Michael's Pub (I have no idea why their website is that fancy, the place is really not fancy). If you want a solid British Pub, Three Lions Pub is great.

Niko Teriyaki is pretty solid teriyaki. (The "originator" of modern teriyaki has a branch over in Kirkland at Toshi's Teriyaki, but that's a drive.)

For burgers, there's a Red Robin on the other side of Redmond Town Center. They're a solid local chain that offers bottomless fries which is nice. Tipsy Cow downtown is probably my vote for best Redmond burger, but they're a little fancier. Third Place KBBQ is also supposedly really good. Woomadang Korean BBQ is about a mile from the venue and is about $50 but it is all you can eat.

The best donuts in Redmond are at Sunrise Donuts (they also have special flavors such as cherry fritters that are only available on the weekends). Top Pot Donuts are also good.

Other Great Stuff

Dick's Drive-in is a classic cheap burger place where everybody can afford to eat a bag of dicks. Their location in Bellevue is the closest to the venue. They're quick, cheap, and legendary.

Microsoft is headquartered in a sprawling campus on Redmond. There's a Visitor's Center you can visit and see technology over the years. It also has soccer fields, basketball courts, and some other sport amenities. All the other buildings are closed to visitors without an employee escort. There are cameras everywhere but they don't usually care if you wander around the fields respectfully.

The national headquarters for Nintendo is also in Redmond, but there are no tours available and they do not like people wandering around their campus. (Even if you work there, security will be checking in to make sure you're allowed to be there.) If you really love Nintendo, your best bet is to go to the central building on 150th and take a picture in front of the sign. There's not a lot to see beyond that and it is a secure campus. They will kick you off their property with prejudice: just take a quick pic at the sign and move on.

The first Costco location is still open (although rebuilt) over in Seattle. But if you're a Costco fan you may recognize the Kirkland Signature brand - named after Kirkland, just west of Redmond. There's a Kirkland Costco you can visit, but there's nothing unique about it.
